Products & Systems

Amidst the general economic malaise, the market figures of Products & Systems are declining or stagnating, depending on the product category, with a clear drop evident in the fourth quarter. The pressure on the order portfolio of internal cleaning companies did not help here. In 2011 Products & Systems posted slight growth in terms of turnover (0.3 million euro). Its operating result for 2011 is in line with the figure achieved in 2010.

Alpheios

In spite of the economic crisis, Alpheios worked hard once again in 2011 with an eye on the future. For its Alpha D3-Fogging® disinfection method, for example, Alpheios became the first and, to date, only organization in the Netherlands to be authorized by the Ctgb (Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides) to combat viruses in the healthcare sector. This was even reported on Dutch TV news programme RTL Nieuws. Ideas that came about partly as a result of a major conference on infection prevention will result in a concrete new service for Alpheios in 2012: the infection prevention monitor. Alpheios also introduced online ordering for its clients in 2011: this service is available online 24 hours a day, with real-time access to the complete product range via the Alpheios Easy Ordering System (EOS).

Another development in 2011 saw Alpheios change to the new logo. With this step it is aligning itself with Vebego's corporate identity. This posed an unprecedented challenge, given that Alpheios' logo cropped up in so many places: on its thousands of products and on boxes, insert sheets, safety data sheets, labels, and so on.
