We believe that through our role as a meaningful employer, we can make the biggest impact and reduce inequality. Based on this belief, we are making a valuable contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Because we can make the most impact in the social domain with the knowledge, people and resources we have in-house, our core activities are almost entirely focused on this.

We are committed to diversity and inclusiveness: we have a job for everyone who wants to work with us. At the same time, we are assuming our responsibility to reduce the environmental impact of our operations as much as possible to counteract climate change and its effects.

SDGs and Vebego’s Impact (strategy)

As a family business, we also want to give future generations a tomorrow with the services and products we provide. With this in mind, Vebego decided, in 2021, to use the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle.

Decent work and economic growth

We have chosen SDG 8 (Fair Work and Economic Growth) as our main goal. We create meaningful jobs by empowering vulnerable people and reducing cultural differences and income inequality. This contributes to the quality of our services as well as to the loyalty, happiness and health of our employees. We want to create an inclusive corporate culture, where everyone feels valued and comfortable.

  • Workforce
    By 2030, 30% of our workforce will consist of people distant from the labour market, asylum seekers and the long-term unemployed.
  • Diversity
    As endorsed in the Diversity Charter, we will increase gender and ethnic-cultural diversity at top and management levels. We also aim to create a more inclusive corporate culture.

Sustainability

In addition, we will actively contribute to SDG 12 (Responsible consumption and production). We take our responsibility in combating climate change and its effects. We do this by drastically reducing our CO2 emissions and by giving circularity a prominent place in our operations.
