
Vebego appoints Roy Budjhawan as Head of Impact
Roy Budjhawan (52) will be Vebego’s new Head of Impact. He will start on 1 July 2021 and will be responsible for implementing the impact strategy, making impact measurable and advising the Executive Board on how to further strengthen the impact ambition of this international family business.
Vebego's impact ambition is focused on being an inclusive employer and making a positive impact on both its employees and society in general. There are also several international CSR initiatives within the concern that are also supported by Vebego, including a programme aimed at achieving a fully carbon-neutral operation by 2030.
Roy Budjhawan has extensive experience in international financial services, most recently as Head of ING Impact Finance until 2020. In that capacity, he was responsible for investments in microfinance institutions, financial education and research. He is also a board member of organisations and initiatives that focus on diversity and inclusiveness, and he supports an inclusive society by participating in publications and research.
The Executive Board is confident that his knowledge and international experience in this area will contribute to the further strengthening of Vebego's impact.
