ESG at Vebego: Building a better future together

At Vebego, we want to be an inspiring example by 2030. We believe that genuine attention to people—our employees, customers and society—is the best foundation for both sustainable impact and business success. As a family-owned company, we think in generations. That’s why we work every day towards a future where everyone can participate and thrive.

Our sustainability strategy focuses on two key themes:

  • Environmental responsibility
  • Social responsibility

The result? A solid foundation for sustainable growth, stronger collaboration with our clients and good preparation for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

At Vebego, we take responsibility for our environmental impact. We actively work to reduce our CO₂ footprint across the value chain. We do this by distinguishing between emissions from our own operations and those upstream and downstream in the chain, from suppliers to end users.

  • CO₂ reduction
50% less CO₂ emissions from our own operations by 2030, using 2023 as the baseline.
  • Circularity
At least 50% of all products and services used in our operations must be circular by 2030.
  • Material circularity
For materials and products that make up 75% of our total weight, we aim for 70% circular inflow.
  • Digital Product Passports (DPPs)
We focus on using renewable and recycled materials, and encourage reuse and recycling. Digital Product Passports help us track the full lifecycle of products—from production to disposal. This gives us valuable insights to make more conscious and sustainable choices.

Social responsibility: everyone matters

At Vebego, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion. For over 80 years, we’ve been focused on opportunities—giving people the space to grow and develop. Our journey formally began with signing the Diversity Charter in 2021. Since then, we’ve worked on raising awareness, creating fair opportunities and improving representation of diverse talent.

  • Women in leadership
33% of leadership roles held by women by 2025, in line with EU targets.
  • Diversity
We focus on cultural diversity and encourage leaders to shape our D&I strategy. Our approach is tailored to the local context of each country and company within Vebego.
